SERVICED OFFICES SET FOR OLD CARILLION HQ
Part of the former headquarters of collapsed construction and facilities management giant Carillion is to be transformed into serviced offices.
Property consultancy Knight Frank has secured a letting to bring Regus serviced offices to the city centre.
Regus franchisee AB Offices has taken a ten-year lease on 13,050 sq ft of space on two floors of 84 Salop Street.
Knight Frank and Bulley’s represented the landlord, London-based Gupta Group, in the transaction.
Regus is a multinational provider of serviced offices and coworking spaces.
Will Higgins, from Knight Frank’s Midlands offices agency team, said: "This is a really positive statement for Wolverhampton. We anticipate that there will be a growing requirement for flexible office space for start-ups and entrepreneurs in the post Covid-19 era."
The five-storey 84 Salop Street building was constructed in 1977 as the headquarters for the Staffordshire Building Society, and later became the headquarters of Carillion.
Gupta Group acquired the building in 2018 and only one floor of the building now remains available to lease.
